September 13rd – Cachaça’s Day

Some people say the weekend starts on Thursday. And what is best to celebrate the weekend than a drink? Specially today, because is CACHAÇA’S DAY!

It was during Brazil’s colonization, with the large production at the sugar mills, that this alcoholic drink got popular, but the first record about cachaça comes from ancient Egyptians, who used to take it as a medicine. But take it easy! It was never proved that cachaça can cure anything!

The most popular drink made of cachaça is CAIPIRINHA. We still don’t know when it was invented, but we know that every Brazilian and the rest of the world loves this tropical drink!
