Between mountains and trees, the town of Campo Magro, 23km away from Curitiba, is home to a beautiful green landscape. With some of its territory located in two different conservation units, natural attractions are a big part of this city.

The exuberant nature at Morro da Palha, for example, reveals gorgeous views of the mountains around it, where it is possible to practice paragliding.  Other pleasant surprises that can be found at the Campo Magro include cascades, waterfalls and properties in the rural area that offer horse riding, fishing and sale of organic products.

Twin Waterfalls

Located in the neighborhood Macaco, known as Pedreira region of Cal Bateias,, these identical waterfalls are nestled in a nature reserve. The beautiful landscape, including caves adorned with flowers of the region, can be appreciated from the tracks that lead to the attraction. It is interesting to visit the place accompanied by a guide. Tip: wear closed shoes or boots.

Morro da Palha

Being 1190 meters high, this hill is the highest of the region and offers a panoramic view of the city. If you like adventure, it is possible to jump from the hill by “paraglider”, using one of the local agencies. There are also several places nearby for food, drinks and handcrafts products. The access to the hill is fairly easy and can be done either walking or by vehicle. The visitation occurs mainly during the day, and there are no entry fees.

“Verde Que Te Quero Verde” Circuit

This circuit consists of a series of attractions located in the rural area of the town. It offers options for all tastes, including waterfalls, rural cuisine, agroecology, observation and practice of adventure sports, events at farms, fisheries, horseback riding and even the option of cooling off in the pools of the various farms and recreational water resort. The circuit lives up to its name, being composed of different natural attractions and businesses who value sustainability and harmony with the environment.
